Cheyenne Center for Creativity was awarded $1,000 for the 2019 “Free to Be Me” Summer Drama Camp.
36 young people attended the drama camp 2019, 15 more students than the previous years. Student reactions on the evaluation forms were positive. Some wanted more days. Others expressed a desire for longer art and craft session, as well as more hours for the camp.
The statement made by a participant, “I love Drama Camp” summarizes the way students feel about this camp.
One student commented that this camp allowed her acting skills to flourish.
Another added: “I really enjoy drama camp because you meet new people and get to work with them.”
Each day students were excited to be there. A variety of ages and backgrounds were represented. Children loved the opportunity to interact, learn, and perform for an audience.
