Washington Street Banners
The City of St Francis was awarded a Cheyenne County Hansen Community Grant of $2,235 in 2019.
As residents of St. Francis, the Washington Street Beautification Committee is focused on making our main street of commerce beautiful, welcoming, and colorful. As an initial phase for beautifying the street, the committee looked into any relatively immediate addition or change that could be made. As there are already brackets on half the lamp poles on the street, it was decided that an economical solution that would still create a large impact would be designing and hanging banners. A printing company with competitive rates was found and a committee member who is a local designer will be creating the banners. The committee looks forward to enhancing the street in a short time line.
